Reps Member, Ikwechegh, responded to critics from the Aba Ngwa Indigenous Movement who threatened to trigger a recall process unless he explained his participation in endorsing Otti. The group, including Rowland Ajuzieogu, Adimchinobi Nwaigwe, and Jamike Ikonne, questioned Ikwechegh's alignment with Otti's group.

In a statement, Ikwechegh defended his position, stating he had not committed any sin by speaking the truth about Otti and the economic reality of Aba Federal constituency in Abia. Elected on the platform of APGA, Ikwechegh emphasized his continued support from the people of Aba and dismissed the recall threat, asserting that he would not lose sleep over it.
