Trump Administration Launches Streaming Channel Amid Media Boycott

The White House has launched a streaming channel named “Trump TV,” which offers viewers access to content from President Donald Trump’s administration. Announced in a late Monday post, the channel, titled “TRUMP TV: The Essentials Station,” will be updated in real time with significant moments and announcements.

This launch coincides with escalating tensions between the Trump administration and several U.S. media organizations. On Friday, Trump imposed a ban on CNN, MS NOW, and Politico, accusing them of disseminating “fiction or lies” about his administration, leading to denied access for their reporters.

In response, a coalition of major U.S. networks, including ABC, CBS, Fox News, and NBC, suspended pooled coverage of Trump in solidarity with the barred outlets. They issued a joint statement indicating plans for legal action to uphold press freedoms.

Trump criticized the media, labeling them as “Third Rate Clowns” and the “Crooked and Corrupt Press.” This dispute follows previous tensions, including the White House's control over the press pool and restrictions on Associated Press reporters.
