Minister Claims Atiku Can't Defeat Tinubu in 2027 Elections Despite Obi as Running Mate

Minister of Culture, Creative Economy, and Cultural Industries, Hannatu Musawa, expressed her opinion on the political landscape, stating that Atiku Abubakar, despite being a respected political heavyweight, would not be able to unseat President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 elections, even if he forms a joint ticket with Peter Obi from the Labour Party. Musawa highlighted that Atiku falls short against the ruling party and does not have the capacity to defeat Tinubu.

She emphasized that an Atiku-Obi alliance would not be sufficient to secure victory against the APC. Musawa also warned of potential divisions within the opposition, particularly among Obi's supporters.

She argued that Obi's support base may not fully back his acceptance of the vice presidential position, leading to voter apathy and resentment. Musawa concluded that the opposition's chances would be even weaker if Peter Obi emerged as the presidential candidate.
