Adamu Atiku Refuses APC Defection Amid Political Speculation

Adamu Atiku, the son of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, has chosen not to defect from the People's Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Adamawa State, despite Governor Ahmadu Fintiri's announcement of a mass defection involving 22 to 24 cabinet members. Adamu Atiku currently serves on the Commission for Energy Development and the Livestock Commission.

His absence during Governor Fintiri's statewide broadcast, where the defection was formally declared, has raised speculation about internal divisions within Adamawa's political structure. Notably, Adamu's name was missing from a handwritten list of defectors, which has fueled concerns regarding his political allegiance and loyalty to his father, Atiku Abubakar.
