Morayo Afolabi-Brown Explains Departure from HICC

Morayo Afolabi-Brown, a media personality and former head usher at Harvesters International Christian Centre (HICC), disclosed her reasons for leaving the church during an interview with Bolaji Idowu, the lead pastor. She had been an active member and heavily involved in church activities until her relationship with a fellow minister ended.

Following the breakup, Afolabi-Brown found it challenging to continue serving in the church environment. Pastor Bolaji Idowu attempted to intervene and encouraged her to remain at HICC, but she felt uncomfortable serving alongside people who were unaware of her situation.

Afolabi-Brown is the daughter of Alao, also known as Bashorun, a late president of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA). She previously served as the deputy director of programs at TVC and is known for hosting the breakfast program "View." She is married to Femi Afolabi-Brown, a lawyer, and they have four children.
