Toke Makinwa Stops Paying Tithes, Redirects Funds to Charity

Makinwa emphasized her priority to assist individuals in urgent need, such as supporting hospitals and widows, rather than contributing to a wealthy church. She noted that she continues to give offerings and contribute to church programs but has redirected her monthly tithe to charitable causes that help people in financial distress.

Reflecting on her past, Makinwa mentioned that she previously gave her entire brand endorsement fee to the church as tithes ten years ago, stating that the brand endorsement deal did not touch her naira, as she believed in tithing to God. She addressed potential criticism by urging people to follow their own convictions regarding tithing, acknowledging that biblical interpretations of tithing can differ.
