Why It's Impossible for Kwankwaso to Join APC, Buba Galadima Shares

Buba Galadima, a prominent member of the New Nigerian Peoples Party (NNPP), has dismissed the possibility of former presidential candidate Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso joining the All Progressives Congress (APC) due to the ongoing tussle in the Kano Emirate. Galadima criticized the federal government for creating a parallel leadership within the traditional institution, accusing them of backing the installation of two emirs in the state.

He highlighted the heavy federal security support deployed to protect the emir aligned with Abuja's interests, suggesting interference in the Kano emirship as a direct affront to the state. Galadima argued that these developments make it inconceivable for Kwankwaso to consider a political alliance.

Earlier, Kwankwaso expressed concerns about the marginalization of Northern Nigeria and the imbalance in resource allocation, warning of worsening poverty and insecurity in the region. He also highlighted the dire state of federal roads in the North, citing a personal experience.
