Ex-Kano Anti-graft Chairman Arrested in Connection to Multi-billion Naira Case Against Former Governor

Muhuyi Magaji Rimin Gado, the former chairman of the Kano State Public Complaint Anti-Corruption Commission (PCACC), was arrested by heavily armed police officers in Abuja. The arrest is believed to be linked to his role as the lead prosecutor in a multi-billion naira case against the family of former Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje.

The case involves allegations of fraud and the unlawful transfer of equities in the Dala Inland Dry Port. Rimin Gado's arrest has raised concerns about potential obstruction of justice in the ongoing legal battle.

Kano State Attorney General, Abdulkareem Maud SAN, confirmed the arrest and highlighted the lack of a warrant for the operation.
