Lagos Police Temporarily Suspend Rape Probe Against Chris Okafor

The Lagos State Police Command has temporarily halted the investigation into multiple rape allegations against clergyman Chris Okafor. The case was transferred to the Assistant Inspector General of Police in charge of Zone 2, Sylvester Alabi.

The State Criminal Investigation Department at Panti disclosed the transfer, citing further action to be taken. The command's spokesperson, Abimbola Adebisi, mentioned that the probe was paused as the complainant failed to appear, emphasizing that the Zone 2 command is supervising the case under the leadership of the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun.
