Arewa Leaders Won't Endorse 2027 Presidential Candidate, Plan Interviews Instead

The Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) leaders have disclosed that they will not endorse any candidate for the 2027 presidential elections in Nigeria. They intend to engage with presidential aspirants over the next six months to evaluate their proposals on tackling issues such as insecurity, poverty, education, and economic empowerment in Northern Nigeria.

The ACF aims to adopt a cautious approach, having refrained from backing candidates in previous elections despite endorsing former President Muhammadu Buhari in 2019. Notable figures like Bola Tinubu, Atiku Abubakar, and others have been mentioned as potential contenders.

ACF's decision reflects a commitment to safeguarding the interests of the northern region.
