Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde: Women Are Nollywood's Backbone

Omotola emphasized that women have historically held significant positions in the industry, primarily as producers, and highlighted the strong entrepreneurial culture among female actors. She noted that many female actors manage several businesses while pursuing their careers in entertainment.

Omotola also pointed out the differences in the experiences of male and female actors, mentioning that while men receive direct admiration, women often face more intense scrutiny. She shared her personal experience of receiving support and gifts from admirers, including her husband, who has been a source of security in her marriage.

Omotola has been married for two decades and stressed the importance of trust and balance in a stable marriage, which she believes contributes to her success in Nollywood.
