Ex-Speaker Denies Arm-Twisting in Governor's Defection to APC

Former Speaker of the Plateau State House of Assembly, Istifanu Mwansat, has refuted claims that Governor Mutfwang was coerced into joining the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC). Mutfwang recently defected from the People's Democratic Party (PDP) to the APC.

In an interview on Channel Television's political program, Mwansat emphasized that the Governor's decision to switch parties was voluntary and in the best interest of the state. He clarified that Mutfwang does not expect an automatic ticket and believes that the people of Plateau State will choose their leaders through a fair electoral process.
