Divorce Battle: Domestic Violence and Infidelity Claims

Nnedimma Onyegbula has initiated divorce proceedings against her husband, Sonni Onyegbula, in Lagos State, citing years of domestic violence, emotional abuse, and infidelity. In her petition, she alleges that Sonni physically assaulted her multiple times, including a severe incident in October 2012 that left her unconscious.

She claims to have received treatment for injuries sustained during these assaults. Sonni Onyegbula denies all allegations of violence and asserts that he has been the primary financial provider throughout their marriage.

He claims Nnedimma became violent during disagreements and has fabricated her allegations. Nnedimma also accuses Sonni of infidelity, including relationships with a married woman and inappropriate behavior towards a domestic worker.

Sonni refutes these claims and maintains that he has consistently supported his family financially. The case is ongoing, with both parties presenting conflicting accounts of their marriage and financial responsibilities.
