Wike Denies Being Tinubu's Spokesperson and Traveling Abroad for Treatment

Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, clarified during a media chat in Abuja that he is not a spokesperson for President Bola Tinubu's administration and has not traveled abroad for medical treatment. Wike addressed allegations made by activist Omoyele Sowore and debunked rumors of seeking medical treatment overseas.

He emphasized that his monthly briefings in Abuja are to inform the public about ongoing projects in the Federal Capital Territory, not to represent the federal government. Wike also responded to reports of Tinubu banning media chats, stating that the monthly briefings are part of his duty to ensure transparency and keep residents informed.
