Governor Wike Warns APC National Secretary to Stay Out of Rivers Politics Amid Allegations of Fund Mismanagement

Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike has cautioned the APC National Secretary, Ajibola Basiru, to refrain from interfering in the state's politics. This warning comes amidst claims of misappropriation of funds by the APC in Rivers State.

Wike's statement follows a visit to the Oyigbo Local Government Area, where he accused the APC of receiving and misusing a significant sum of money meant for the state. Basiru defended APC Vice Chairman Victor Giadom's remarks about Governor Siminalayi Fubara, prompting Wike to assert that Rivers State's affairs are not to be meddled with.

Ambassador Desmond Akawor also highlighted the need for equitable development in the region.
