Woman Stabs Husband in Yobe State, Police Launch Manhunt for Suspect

In Yobe State, an 18-year-old woman named Khadija Jamilu reportedly stabbed her 25-year-old husband in the genital area during a domestic dispute in Potiskum Local Government Area. The incident occurred in the early hours of Friday, with the suspect fleeing the scene.

The victim was rushed to the State Specialist Hospital Potiskum for urgent medical attention and later transferred to the Federal Medical Center in Azar, Bauchi State, where he is currently receiving treatment. The Yobe State Police Command, led by CP Emmanuel Ado, has initiated an investigation and a manhunt for the fleeing suspect.

The police emphasized the importance of peaceful conflict resolution in marriages to prevent violence and its dire consequences. They advised couples to seek proper counsel and embrace peaceful dialogue to manage conflicts effectively.
