World Bank and WHO endorse Nigeria's SWAp model for health sector reform

The World Bank and WHO have endorsed Nigeria's Sector-Wide Approach (SWAp) model for health sector reform, recognizing the progress made by the country. Led by Professor Muhammad Ali Pate, Nigeria's SWAp model aligns government and donor investments to ensure efficient use of resources, particularly in revitalizing primary healthcare centers.

The initiative has recorded significant improvements, with a fourfold increase in patient visits. This coordinated approach has been commended for its practicality and potential to enhance efficiency in achieving universal health coverage.
