Spain Coach De la Fuente Names 2026 World Cup Squad

Luis de la Fuente, the current coach of the Spain National Football Team, has named a 26-player squad for the upcoming 2026 World Cup. The squad includes eight players from FC Barcelona, notably Lamin Yamal, Gavi, and Pedri.

The goalkeepers selected are Unai Simon, David Raya, and Joan Garcia. The defensive lineup features Marc Cucurella, Alejandro Grimaldo, Pau Torres, Aymeric Laporte, Marc Pubil, Eric Garcia, Marco Llorente, and Pedro Porro.

In midfield, the team includes Pedri, Fabian Ruiz, Martin Zubimendi, Gavi, Rodri, Alex Baena, and Mikel Merino. The forward positions are filled by Mikel Oyarzabal, Dani Olmo, Nico Williams, Yeremi Pino, Ferran Torres, Borja Iglesias, and Victor Munoz, along with Lamin Yamal.

Spain is scheduled to play two friendly matches against Iraq and Peru prior to the World Cup, where they will compete in Group H alongside Cape Verde, Saudi Arabia, and Uruguay.
