Neville urges Tuchel to drop Gordon for Panama match

Gary Neville, a former Manchester United player, has advised England manager Thomas Tuchel to consider dropping Anthony Gordon and Djed Spence for the final group stage match against Panama in the 2026 World Cup. Following two matches in North America, the Three Lions currently lead their group and have already secured automatic qualification for the Round of 32 after a 4-2 victory over Croatia and a goalless draw against Ghana.

During a discussion on Sky Sports, Neville expressed that while he does not want to criticize Gordon harshly, he believes the talented player is facing challenges. He suggested that Marcus Rashford is not genuinely suited for the left side and that Morgan Rogers would be a better option due to his ability to connect better on the flank and provide greater game intelligence.

Neville emphasized the need for creativity against a defensively organized Panama team, indicating that players like Rogers could offer the necessary subtleties in play.
