Ghana forward Antoine Semenyo stated that the Black Stars are ready to "prove a point" against England in their upcoming FIFA World Cup clash. This follows a tense 1-0 win against Panama, secured by a stoppage-time strike from teammate Caleb Yirenkyi.

Despite the victory, Ghana struggled to control the match, often being forced onto the back foot. Semenyo acknowledged that Ghana was the second-best team during the match and highlighted the difficulties faced in midfield.
