SEKI KULTURE Launches Cardinal for Blue Economy Diplomacy

On World Oceans Day 2026, SEKI KULTURE activated the Cardinal platform to advance blue economy cultural diplomacy. This initiative celebrates the rich musical heritage of the Niger Delta, featuring highlife legends such as Rex Lawson, Jim Lawson, Prince David Bull, Joe Nez, and Boma Bonni.

The project aims to connect cultural heritage with sustainable development, demonstrating the creative industry's support for coastal communities and tourism. Victor Agih, a cultural advocate, emphasized the importance of reconnecting younger generations with the region's music heritage, showcasing its economic value as a cultural asset.
