Xi Jinping Celebrates CPC's 105th Anniversary, Urges Progress

On July 1, 2021, Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and Chairman of the Central Military Commission, marked the 105th anniversary of the CPC, describing its history as an "epic" for the Chinese nation. He called on party members to remain steadfast in their convictions and work tirelessly to fulfill the party's mission in this new era.

Xi noted that the CPC, founded in 1921, has grown from a small group of 50 members to the world's largest governing party with nearly 101.29 million members. He stressed the importance of achieving the goal of fully realizing socialist modernization by the middle of the century, urging the party to respond actively to risks and challenges.

Xi also warned against corruption and emphasized the need for the party to maintain its original aspirations and modesty while preparing to withstand major tests ahead.
