Yahaya Bello Faces Imprisonment Over N110.4 Billion Fraud

Austin Okai, a chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and a socio-political activist from Kogi State, stated that former Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello cannot escape imprisonment. Bello is currently facing trial for an alleged N110.4 billion fraud brought against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

On Tuesday, the Federal Capital Territory High Court in Maitama, Abuja, dismissed an application filed by Bello that challenged the court's jurisdiction to entertain the case. Okai emphasized that it is an obvious fact that Bello will go to prison, urging Kogi politicians to identify with the ADC.

He insinuated that the alleged rigging by the All Progressives Congress (APC) will not be able to function effectively in the future, indicating a potential end for the APC in Kogi State.
