APC's Electoral Wins Showcase Grassroots Strength in 2026

Prof. Nentaw Yilwatda, the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), described the party's recent electoral victories in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Kano, and Rivers as a clear testament to the resilience and unity of the party's grassroots strength.

These victories were achieved during the area council elections conducted on February 21, 2026. Yilwatda commended the party leaders and stakeholders for their support across the three states, emphasizing the disciplined and dedicated efforts that led to the success of the APC candidates.

He warmly congratulated the five APC chairmanship candidates who emerged victorious in the elections, specifically mentioning the successful candidates from AMAC, Kuje, Abaji, Bwari, and Kwali. Additionally, he acknowledged the success of four state house assembly candidates in Kano and Rivers, reinforcing the notion that democracy prevailed as the people spoke through the ballot.
