Yoruba Group Rejects Claims of Atiku-Sule Meeting

The Yoruba Ronu Leadership Forum, represented by Akin Malaolu, has dismissed a report from People’s Gazette alleging a clandestine meeting in Saudi Arabia between former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and Nasarawa State Governor Abdullahi Sule. The report suggested that the two political figures discussed potential financial support for the upcoming 2027 general elections.

Malaolu criticized the claims for being based on anonymous sources and lacking independent verification, stating that such serious allegations require a higher evidentiary standard. He cautioned against drawing conclusions from unverifiable reports, especially in the pre-election environment where speculation often arises.

The forum emphasized the need for corroborative evidence, including documented travel confirmations from multiple independent sources, to substantiate such claims.
