THU GM Praises Agric Commissioner for Transformative Leadership

Engr. Danladi Shatalis, the General Manager of the Taraba State Tractors Hiring Unit (THU), commended Prof.

Nicolas Oliver Namassen for his impactful leadership as Commissioner of the Taraba State Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security over the past three years. In an interview in Jalingo, Shatalis noted that the ministry has experienced significant transformation, including a rise in revenue generation and the acquisition of two crawler tractors and other agricultural mechanization equipment to enhance food production.

He attributed these advancements to Prof. Namassen's leadership and his engagements with Governor Agbu Kefas.

Additionally, Shatalis mentioned the procurement and distribution of special agricultural equipment across the 16 local government areas of Taraba State, with some awaiting commissioning. He also acknowledged plans for a proposed five-star business shopping center near the THU office.

Shatalis urged the commissioner to facilitate further improvements, including additional tractors, office renovations, utility vehicle procurement, and new personnel recruitment to bolster the unit's operations.
