YouSend Launches Remittance App for African Immigrants

YouSend has officially launched its remittance app in the UK and Canada, aiming to become the preferred choice for African immigrants sending money home. The app facilitates transfers to Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, and Tanzania within minutes, boasting a 95% transaction completion rate in under two minutes.

It offers transparent exchange rates and 24/7 live human support. The company plans to expand into the EU and the United States shortly.

YouSend utilizes stablecoin settlement technology to enhance transfer speeds. Since its public launch, the app has processed over 1 million transfers, primarily through word-of-mouth referrals.

Adeoy Ojo, co-founder of YouSend, noted that the founding team identified a significant opportunity in the remittance space after spending years studying it. YouSend holds licenses from the UK Financial Conduct Authority and FINTRAC in Canada, and is backed by CMT Ventures, DCG, Blockwal, Coinswitch Ventures, and Musha Ventures.
