Kano Governor Yusuf Plans Committee to Notify Kwankwaso of Defection

Kano State Governor Abba Yusuf, along with several members of the Kano State House of Assembly, will set up a committee to notify leader Kwankwaso of their planned defection from the New Nigeria People's Party (NNPP). The decision was reached during a nocturnal meeting, with the governor opting for a formal communication rather than a public announcement.

Speaker of the House, Jibrin Falgor, will lead the delegation to Kwankwaso. The governor expects a formal resignation announcement from NNPP members after the meeting with Kwankwaso.
