Tijjani Yahaya Kaura Claims Victory Amid Election Controversy

Senator Tijjani Yahaya Kaura has declared his victory in the Zamfara North Senatorial District primary election as authentic, stating it was conducted by the majority of the election panel sent by the APC National Headquarters. He made these remarks at his home in Kaura Namoda, alleging that Dr. Auwal Abdullahi Aliyu, the Chairman of the Panel, was hijacked by anti-democratic elements and taken to an unknown location.

Kaura claims that the chairman was coerced into announcing a false result that declared Senator Sahabi Ya’u Kaura as the winner. He emphasized that the legitimate results were collated and announced by the majority of the panel members, adhering to party constitution and electoral guidelines.

Kaura condemned the alleged abduction as an attack on democracy and urged stakeholders to respect the electorate's will. He reassured his supporters to remain peaceful and stated he would defend their mandate through legitimate means.
