Zenith Bank's Gross Earnings Grow to N3.4 Trillion Amid Strong Interest Income

Zenith Bank Plc has announced a 16% year-on-year growth in gross earnings to N3.4 trillion by the end of September 30, 2025, compared to N2.9 trillion in the same period in 2024. The growth was primarily attributed to a significant increase in interest income, which surged by 41% to N2.7 trillion due to a high-yield interest rate environment.
However, non-interest income declined by 38% to N535 billion, impacting the overall profitability. The bank focused on improving its loan book quality, resulting in a 4% increase in total assets to N31 trillion.
Zenith Bank also maintained a healthy net interest margin of 12.10% and saw improvements in its non-performing loan ratio. Adaora Umeoji, the Group Managing Director and CEO, credited the bank's performance to its resilience.
