Zenith Bank Sponsors ART X Lagos 2026, Celebrating Ladi Kwali

Zenith Bank Plc (NGX: ZENITHBANK) has reaffirmed its commitment to Nigeria’s creative and cultural landscape through its sponsorship of ART X Lagos 2026, scheduled for November 5th to 8th, 2026, at Federal Palace, Lagos. As a Silver Sponsor for the 11th edition, the bank supports platforms that celebrate African artistic excellence and cultural heritage.

Founded by Tokini Peterside-Schwebig in 2016, ART X Lagos showcases contemporary African art and connects artists, galleries, and collectors globally. The theme for this edition, "A New Chapter, A New Decade," reflects on influential figures in Nigerian modernism.

Zenith Bank will support two key programs: ART X ICON, which honors Nigeria’s artistic pioneers, and The Masterclass, aimed at emerging creatives. This year, ART X ICON focuses on Ladi Dosei Kwali (1925–1984), a celebrated Nigerian potter known for her contributions to ceramics and her representation on Nigeria’s 20-naira note.

The exhibition will feature ceramics and archival materials from the National Museum in Lagos.
