The first batch of 374 pilgrims from Kwara State was airlifted to Saudi Arabia for the 2023 Hajj. Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq urged the pilgrims to represent Nigeria honorably and comply with Saudi laws. The total number of pilgrims from the state is 1,714.
Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State emphasized the need for quality service for pilgrims during the Hajj. Alhaji Abubakar Usman Yusuf, Director of the Kaduna State Pilgrim Welfare Agency, announced upgrades to facilities and logistics to enhance the pilgrimage experience.
