Imo State APC Leadership Dispute

Enyinnaya Onuegbu, Chief of Staff to Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma, criticized former Governor Rochas Okorocha for attempting to claim a stake in the APC after being absent from key events leading to the party's primary elections.

The All Progressives Congress in Imo State rejected a Federal High Court ruling that declared Rochas Okorocha the rightful senatorial candidate for Imo West, asserting that their candidate, Hope Uzodimma, legitimately won the primary election.

The 137 ward chairmen of the All Progressives Congress in Imo West have urged President Bola Tinubu to restore Hope Uzodimma as the valid senatorial candidate, condemning a Federal High Court ruling that favored Rochas Okorocha, which they termed a political robbery.
