US Visa Regulations for Foreign Students

Foreign students must secure the correct visa category before studying in the United States. The US Department of State specifies that vocational institutions require an M visa, while academic institutions require an F visa.

The US government has outlined six types of educational programs that require foreign students to obtain an F visa for enrollment. This includes universities, high schools, and language training programs, emphasizing the importance of securing the correct visa type before travel.
