The UK government has established a requirement for dual citizens applying for a first adult British passport, mandating that personal details must match across both passports. Discrepancies must be resolved before application.

The UK government has announced that applicants for a 10-year adult passport must be at least 16 years old. This applies to first-time adult passport applicants who are British nationals and have never held a UK passport or whose last passport was issued before 1 January 1994.

British nationals living abroad can now apply for or renew their British passports without returning to the UK, according to new guidance from the UK government. This process includes specific requirements for dual citizens regarding name consistency on passports.
