Nollywood Actress Temitope Osoba Passes Away at 2026

Temitope Osoba, a prominent Nollywood actress, died on August 5, 2026, following a prolonged illness. Her death occurred almost a year after she resumed her acting career after a public battle with breast cancer.

Born and raised in Lagos State, Osoba earned a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Business Education from Olabisi Onabanjo University in Ogun State. She began her acting career around 2005 and gained recognition after starring in a film produced by Dayo Amusa.

Over two decades, she became a well-known figure in the Yoruba section of Nollywood, with notable film credits. Osoba produced her own movie and openly discussed her fight against breast cancer, which included surgeries and medical treatments.

During her illness, fellow Nollywood stars, including Foluke Daramola and Iyabo Ojo, supported her. After her recovery, she spoke candidly about her cancer journey and the financial difficulties actors face when dealing with serious health issues.
