AI Revolutionizes Nigerian Workplaces, Threatens Jobs

A report by PwC indicates that 81% of respondents expect AI to be significantly integrated into workflows within three years.

The International Labour Organization's 2025 research highlights clerical occupations as having the highest exposure to generative AI, but it clarifies that exposure does not necessarily equate to job losses. Specific tasks at risk include data entry, customer service inquiries, and basic content creation.

For instance, AI can automate invoice processing, respond to routine banking questions, and generate marketing materials. While junior content writers and transcriptionists may face challenges due to AI capabilities, roles requiring human judgment, such as investigative reporting, remain secure.
