DR Congo Reports Recovery of Two Ebola Patients - WHO Confirms Progress

Two Ebola patients have recovered in the Democratic Republic of Congo, marking a significant step in the country's efforts to contain the virus. The World Health Organization's Regional Office for Africa announced the recovery, attributing it to strengthened clinical care and rapid response measures.

The intervention, coordinated with the DR Congo Ministry of Health and partners like Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) and ALIMA, aims to curb the spread of the virus and end the outbreak swiftly. This development comes amidst a broader health crisis in the region, including cholera outbreaks and malnutrition.

The last Ebola outbreak in DR Congo occurred in April 2022, which was contained within three months.
