NUPRC Completes Pre-Qualification for 2025 Oil Licensing

The Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC) announced the completion of the pre-qualification stage for the 2025 oil licensing round, as stated in a release signed by Eniola Akinkuotu, the head of media strategy and communications. The notification was issued on Tuesday, confirming that the pre-qualification stage was successfully concluded on March 16, 2026.

Following this, the commission will permit successful applicants to access lease data and prepare their technical and commercial bid submissions starting from March 17, 2026. It is important to note that pre-qualified applicants are required to upload evidence of payment for the prerequisites necessary for bid submission, which must be sourced from two data sources.

This process is part of the guidelines established for the 2025 licensing round.
