Nigeria's Tourism Sector Thrives in 2025, Boosting Economy and Cultural Heritage

In 2025, Nigeria witnessed a surge in the art, culture, and tourism sectors, with tourism contributing significantly to the economy. The World Travel & Tourism Council projected global tourism to contribute $11.7 trillion to the global economy, with Nigeria's tourism sector showing remarkable progress.

The sector attracted millions of domestic and international visitors, leading to substantial revenue generation. The government, under the leadership of Minister Hannatu Musa Musawa, inaugurated a national tourism summit to harness the economic potential of tourism, aiming to create jobs and boost infrastructure development through initiatives like the Creative Tourism Infrastructure Corporation.

The Federal Executive Council approved the establishment of the CTIC to support the country's creative industries, marking a new era for Nigeria's creative tourism industry.
