Youth Urged to Engage in Politics for Change in Nigeria

During an interfaith prayer program organized by Yayi Youth Vanguard in Abeokuta, Olamid Lawal, the special adviser on youth affairs to Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun, called for increased youth participation in politics to drive positive change in Nigeria. Lawal highlighted that the involvement of young people in the political process is crucial for shaping policies and decisions that will lead to a stronger nation.

He noted that the administration of President Bola Tinubu has shown confidence in the youth's ability to contribute to national development. Lawal urged young people to support the re-election of Tinubu and Abiodun's governorship ambitions, particularly as the 2027 elections approach.

He emphasized that active youth participation is essential to influence governance and ensure that the benefits of democracy reach grassroots communities. The event also featured calls for unity and divine guidance for Ogun State's future, with various leaders encouraging youth to take on leadership roles.
