ADC Launches 2027 Governorship Campaign in Enugu

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Enugu State has announced its readiness for the governorship election campaign ahead of the 2027 elections. A statement from Comrade Adolphus Ude, the ADC State Secretary, and retired Gen. Chris Eze, Chairman of the Caretaker Committee, confirmed that the campaign will commence on September 9, 2026, in accordance with the Independent National Electoral Commission's timetable.

This announcement followed a thanksgiving Mass led by the party's governorship candidate, Ocho Obodoeze, at St. Theresa’s Cathedral in Nsukka. The ADC expressed confidence in its unity and readiness to take over the Government House in 2027.

Obodoeze dedicated his candidacy to God and presented his "Ochoudo Agenda," which prioritizes security, healthcare, education, housing, grassroots development, and infrastructure upgrades. He assured that, if elected, he would ensure timely payment of workers' salaries and exceed the National Minimum Wage Act.

The thanksgiving service marked the conclusion of Obodoeze's zonal tour, which included events in Enugu East and Enugu West.
