APC and ADC Top Candidate Lists for 2027 Elections

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has published the final list of candidates for the 2027 general elections, revealing that the All Progressives Congress (APC) leads with 360 candidates for the House of Representatives, while the African Democratic Congress (ADC) follows with 346 candidates. Other parties include the National Democratic Congress (NDC) with 330, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) with 316, and the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) with 312 candidates.

In the Senate elections, the APC again leads with 109 candidates, closely followed by the ADC with 108 candidates. The NDC has 99 candidates, while the PDP has 101.

The Youth Party (YP) has the fewest candidates in both chambers, with four in the House and four in the Senate. The data illustrates a significant disparity in candidate participation between major and smaller parties, with the APC and ADC dominating the candidate lists across both legislative elections.
