APC Denies Political Persecution of El-Rufai, Malami

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has refuted claims of political persecution against former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai and former Attorney General Abubakar Malami. APC North Central Forum Chairman, Zazzaga, emphasized in an interview that the investigations into the two former officials are strictly legal matters and not a witch hunt against opposition figures.

Zazzaga argued that no individual is above the law, regardless of their party affiliation, and dismissed the notion that the APC is using these investigations as a political vendetta. He noted that prominent opposition figures have not been invited by anti-graft agencies, reinforcing the argument that the claims of political persecution do not withstand scrutiny.

Zazzaga also criticized the African Democratic Congress (ADC) for suggesting that the ruling party's actions threaten its coalition efforts, labeling such claims as propaganda aimed at deflecting attention from the investigations.
