ADC Accuses APC of Destroying Opposition for 2027 Elections

Bolaji Abdullahi, representing the African Democratic Congress (ADC), accused the All Progressives Congress (APC) government of systematically destroying opposition parties to facilitate President Bola Tinubu's continued hold on power for the upcoming 2027 general elections. Abdullahi made these allegations during an interview on a political program aired on Channels Television.

He referenced the historical context of political repression during military rule, specifically under General Sani Abacha, when five political parties were created to support a single presidential candidate. Abdullahi emphasized that the ADC's duty is to protect democracy in Nigeria and pledged to utilize all legal means to resist any attempts to suppress the opposition.

He asserted that the Nigerian populace cannot be conquered or enslaved, highlighting the importance of safeguarding citizens' rights in the country.
