APC in Kwara State Delays Decision on Zoning Governorship Ticket for 2027 Elections

The APC in Kwara State, through its chairman Fagbemi, clarified that the party has not finalized the zoning of the governorship ticket for the 2027 elections. The decision is pending ratification by the national leadership.

This announcement comes amidst calls for the ticket to be zoned to Kwara North Senatorial District. Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, who assumed office in 2019, is expected to complete his final term in 2027 as the constitution bars him from seeking re-election.
