Kwara North Stakeholders Demand Fairness in 2027 Governorship Ticket Allocation

Kwara North stakeholders are pressuring political parties to allocate the 2027 governorship ticket to their region for the first time since 1999. The Chief of Staff to the Minister of Youth, Hon.

Muhammed Funsho Abdullahi, emphasized the need for fairness, highlighting the historical imbalance in governorship representation among Kwara's districts. The Kwara North Youth Consultative Forum, in collaboration with other groups, organized a dialogue to advocate for regional inclusion in leadership.

The forum drew parallels to the zoning of the 2023 presidential ticket by major parties. The stakeholders declared Kwara North's readiness to lead and expected reciprocal loyalty from the current administration for their support in the upcoming elections.
