Ugochinyere Confident APP Will Win 2027 Elections

On September 14, 2026, Ikeagwuonu Ugochinyere, the chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Petroleum Resources (Downstream) and representative for Ideato North/Ideato South Federal Constituency of Imo State, stated his optimism that the Action Peoples Party (APP) will emerge victorious in the upcoming 2027 general election. Ugochinyere made this statement while welcoming new members who will contest the elections on the APP platform.

The new entrants include Boma Goodhead, representing Akuku-Toru/Asari-Toru Federal Constituency of Rivers State; Alozie Munachim Ikechi, representing Obingwa/Ugwunagbo/Osisioma Federal Constituency of Abia State; and Uju Kingsley Chima, who previously represented Oguta/Ohaji-Egbema/Oru West Federal Constituency of Imo State in the ninth Assembly. Ugochinyere praised the trio as "great democratic fighters" and expressed confidence that their experience would strengthen the party's grassroots efforts and electoral prospects.
