Tinubu Forms 233-Member APC Campaign Council for 2027

President Bola Tinubu has constituted a 233-member All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) in preparation for the 2027 presidential elections, following the Independent National Electoral Commission's lifting of the campaign ban on August 19, 2026. Tinubu appointed himself as the Chairman of the PCC, emphasizing the seriousness of the electoral challenge ahead.

The council includes notable figures such as Chief Bisi Akande, Chief Segun Osoba, Senator Rochas Okorocha, and former APC national chairmen. Vice President Kashim Shettima and APC National Chairman Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda serve as Vice Chairmen, while Senator Hope Uzodimma is the Secretary.

Zonal Coordinators include Governor Peter Mbah for the South East, Governor Bassey Out for the South South, and Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu for the South West. Other key appointments include Yari Abdullaziz as Director-General and various Deputy Director-Generals overseeing different regions.

This strategic formation reflects Tinubu's intent to navigate the complexities of the upcoming election.
