Atiku Alleges Plot to Undermine ADC Ahead of 2027 Elections

On Thursday night, Atiku Abubakar disclosed a plot aimed at undermining the ADC during a visit to former Kaduna State Governor Mallam Nasir El-Rufai. Atiku, who is a prominent figure in the PDP, urged opposition politicians to stay vigilant and resist attempts to weaken their party.

He made these statements following a claim by his spokesman, Muyiwa Adekeye, regarding security operations targeting El-Rufai shortly after his arrival from Cairo, Egypt. El-Rufai declined to accompany Atiku, demanding a formal invitation.

In a video posted on Facebook, Atiku asserted that he possesses credible information about an unnamed person within the judiciary attempting to undermine the ADC, which he equated to sabotaging the PDP's efforts. He condemned these actions as embarrassing for the Nigerian political class, particularly for the ADC, and reaffirmed his commitment to standing against anti-democratic forces.

El-Rufai, a former member of the APC, has recently been a vocal critic of the current administration and is part of the coalition challenging the APC in the 2027 elections.
